yoobi markers!

i was wandering around target today while waiting for a prescription to be filled and saw an end-cap full of YOOBI products – pencils and markers, paints and notebooks.  i had never heard of the brand before and a google search revealed nothing but a patent application, but i loved the idea that for every product you bought, the donated another product to a U.S. classroom in need.

because the never ending expanse of summer (and the inevitable “i’m boooooooored”) is upon us, i bought a pack of layering markers to add to the art supplies.  i was playing around with them this afternoon and found two white markers that will change the other colors to it’s secondary color.  super fun.  i quickly sketched out some secret messages for the girls to find when they got home this afternoon.  they loved it and have been writing secret notes ever since!
